Get ready, Knoxville! Next Saturday, May 21st, Bridgewater Place is hosting Dancing For The Horses<\/a> – a fundraiser dinner and dance competition to benefit Horse Haven<\/a>, sanctuary for abused and neglected horses throughout Tennessee. Local business people, equestrian enthusiasts, and news anchors are among the contestants. The event will begin at 6pm and tickets are currently SOLD OUT!<\/p>\n

\"Evan<\/a><\/p>\n

Last year, one of our Salon Visage colorists, Evan Denson (pictured above), participated in the event and had a wonderful experience. \u00a0We asked Evan how he got involved in Dancing For The Horses and what it was like, and he told us:<\/p>\n

“Technically, I was volunteered to dance, which I reluctantly<\/em> agreed to, but it was so worth it. It was challenging because I had never done anything like that before, but it was extremely rewarding and for a great cause. I made some life-long friends in the process, too, so it was a great experience.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The spouse of another of our colorists (Heather Teter\u2019s husband Jay) also competed, and he won first prize!<\/p>\n

\"Evan<\/a>
\nThis year, the co-owner of Salon & Spa Visage, Belinda Gambuzza, will be performing, and she is in it to win it!<\/strong> She found out about Horse Haven and the services they provide after being invited to watch Evan and Jay participate in last year’s competition. Belinda says that helping animals-in-need is part of her spiritual mission, and she has been truly dedicated to spreading the word about this great cause.<\/p>\n

She has not had any professional dance experience, so she has admitted to being slightly nervous about cutting a rug, but we have never known her to back down from any challenge. In fact, we fully expect her to SLAY.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n

\"Belinda<\/a><\/p>\n

Belinda is striving to raise $20,000 for Horse Haven before the Dancing For The Horses event next Saturday. With more than $16k in donations so far, she is almost there! \u00a0There are three ways you can help Belinda meet her fundraising goal<\/strong>:<\/p>\n
