24 Jun Introducing PHYTODESS: Eco-Luxury Hair Care Line, Now at Salon Visage

What if you could buy hair care products that are just as good for the planet as they are for your tresses? Well, now you can! At Salon Visage we are introducing a new line of eco-luxury hair products from Paris called PHYTODESS. Keep reading to find out more!

We are so excited to introduce you to the PHYTODESS line! Their products are plant-based, silicone-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free and cruelty-free (no animal testing), which is impressive in itself, but the Dessange Group, makers of PHYTODESS, go above and beyond other beauty manufacturers by reinvesting a percentage of their profits into conservation and reforestation efforts across the globe! Here’s the video introduction to PHYTODESS that brand representative Caroline Louchet shared with us yesterday:

The products are formulated with plant oils, clays, and minerals, carefully developed to maintain a healthy scalp, because without a healthy scalp, you can’t have healthy hair. What we love about these products is that even though the company is focused on environmentally friendly values, there is no sacrifice in performance. You can fully expect the same salon-quality results with PHYTODESS that you get from other luxury haircare products. To see some real-life results, check out beauty-blogger Elizabeth Licata from The Gloss, who went to Dessange Salon in Paris and experienced PHYTODESS for herself. Here’s her before-and-after pic!

PHYTODESS promotes sustainability in a variety of ways. As a member of the 1% For The Planet organization, PHYTODESS donates 1% of all sales to conservation efforts, and their packaging is lightweight cardboard for easy recycling. Five years ago, they partnered with the NGO Homme et l’Environnement (Man & Environment) to foster sustainable development by funding a ylang-ylang tree nursery, since ylang-ylang oil is used in some of their products. They also practice “positive sourcing”, which means that they only obtain ingredients from farms that practice sustainable harvesting and give back to the community and environment.

At Salon Visage, we will not be carrying the entire PHYTODESS line, but we have specially chosen eight products that we believe will provide the most value to you! The first four products are for cleansing and conditioning the hair. They include:

  • Manketti Shampoo: Gentle shampoo, especially good for color-treated or heat-weakened hair that prevents breakage and creates a silky smoothness ($42)
  • Creme precieuse: Conditioning treatment to revitalize dry, sensitized hair ($63)
  • Buriti Mask: Intensive conditioning treatment that helps preserve and prolong hair color ($44)
  • Gold-Shea Day Cream: Leave-in conditioner that acts as a shield to protect hair from damaging elements ($35)

The second four products are specialized clay-bath scalp treatments, recommended for weekly application. They include:

  • Terre Precieuse Or — to rebalance a damaged scalp
  • Terre Precieuse Perle — to recharge a dry scalp
  • Terre Precieuse Cuivre — to comfort a sensitive scalp
  • Terre Precieuse Malachite — to purify an oily scalp
